So yeah, sorry about not posting for a month or so people. The Cavs made a Finals run and there were lady issues so I was a bit preoccupied. But there was a pretty big gaming event in the last few weeks that I was involved with: the Halo 3 Beta. Now, I’m sure you’ve seen just about everything you possibly could about it by now, but I wanted to weigh in with my opinion.
I assume you’ve all played Halo and Halo 2. Halo was pretty amazing. Halo 2 was pretty ‘meh’ comparatively. (Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed the Deuce, but it didn’t grab me like the original.) In my (limited) time playing the Beta, I have to say it felt more like the original’s multiplayer. Maybe it was the new version of the Assault Rifle or maybe it was just the aesthetics (I was never a big fan of Halo 2′s multiplayer levels), but it felt, I dunno, right. (Except the grenades, they still feel more like 2 than 1) I don’t usually really like playing online as I feel that it never matches up with playing with your actual friends, but I can actually see myself playing this one online pretty regularly. I only hope the Party system works as well as advertised so I can stick with my Friends all night, taking on all comers.
lol, “the Deuce.”
good to hear from you Fritz, nice post.
I personally thought the Halo 3 beta was “meh” myself. It was a taste of what is to come though. I like some of the new guns, and hopefully there will actually be a few months before glitches are discovered so the playing field is even.
I don’t know what you meant by problems with partying up, Fritz. I played with the same people all the time. For almost 2 years straight I played with the same peeps on Halo 2. It was my primary game until Gears came out. Anyhow, come September, I’ll probably be playing Halo 3 unless I’m busy with wedding crap. Hopefully I’ll see you guys on.
