K-i-s-s-i-n-g? Looks like it. I’ve stumbled across two sources now that point to an Apple/Nintendo partnership to bring select software titles to the iPhone. While it’s no secret that Nintendo is concerned over the growing cell-phone games market, licensing software to other platforms is unheard of. Well, not entirely… but we all know how that turned out… Oh, and a touch-sensitive d-pad? My mind is blown.

That’s very intriguing, indeed. It will be interesting to see how well the touch screen d-pad works out. I wonder if it will be okay since we are so used to having a physical d-pad to touch. Will it be intuitive or really difficult to control without something physical to feel for? Only time will tell.
Hmm sounds like another DS minus the buttons. Not to terribly interested in a $500 DS.
Whew, you can say that again, Steve. I am, however, interested in the implications of a Nintendo/Apple partnership… what surprises could Apple have in store for us Wii owners? wiiTunes perhaps? Or is the next DS going to be iTunes compatible? Pure speculation on my part but who knows what the future holds.
meh. I can play lemonade tycoon on my phone. Good enough. If you really want to impress someone, use Nintendo’s Wii technology to make the phone into a motion sensitive video gaming device. Be sure to include the wrist strap and phone nunchuck.
Hmmm. I love Apple. I love Nintendo. Somehow, I’m still not interested.
