I just picked the game up from Best Buy on my lunch break and it’s totally awesome. This is without a doubt the slickest Wii game I have ever played. Everything from the intro movie to the sexy, animated menu screens to the gorgeous art direction absolutely reeks of high production value. I was also pleasantly surprised to learn that there’ s an in-game achievement system that lets you track not only your own progress but also that of your registered friends. Oh, and the controls… they’re hands down the best controls of any fps ever. period. You simply won’t find a smoother experience this side of mouse and keyboard. The Wiimote may as well be a giant stick of Land O’Lakes butter, because that’s what playing the game feels like. This is the new standard against which all other console control setups will be judged. Try it for yourself and see if you don’t agree. (Just be sure to switch the game to “advanced” in the control options menu). Finally, an honest-to-goodness game for the Wii.
That sounds great. I will pick this up eventually. I need to beat Metroid Prime 2 first!
I never made it all the way through metroid prime 2. my brother is chugging through it now though. i’ll live vicariously through him.
