Sorry for the delay. Just moved into a new apartment… so busy… so tired…
Anyways, great week for the VC. Check out these awesome, never-before-released in the U.S. games:
Super Mario Bros: The Lost Levels (NES, 600 Wii Points) Ok, so technically this was releasd in the U.S. as part of the Super Mario Allstars comp, but whatev.
Sin & Punishment (Nintendo 64, 1,200 Wii Points) This game was supposed to come out back in 2000 but got canceled at the last minute. I don’t remember much about it except for two things: 1. That I was totally bummed about it being canceled, and 2. That it was supposed to be a really sweet game. In fact, I believe it’s one of only a handful of N64 games made by Treasure.
So yeah, awesome week… but what’s with the inflated prices? Sheesh. Didn’t stop me from downloading both titles.
I’m a little dumb sometimes. I was looking at this thinking ‘Man, I always wanted to play Sin & Punishment, too bad I still won’t be able to play it’. It literally just dawned on me that, since I bought a Wii a few weeks ago, I have access to the Virtual Console.
Dude, i would definitely check out Sin & Punishment… all the menus have been translated and the game already had english voice acting, believe it or not.
it’s very U.S. friendly. the only negative thing is that you can tell it was designed around the weird-as-hell N64 controller. the Classic Controller simply can’t re-create the 3-pronged setup.
still, with a little practice, you adapt…
