I confess, I’ve been an SNK fan for a long time. I’ve played all the 2D Fatal Fury games, all the King of Fighters games up to 2002, Samurai Shodown games, Metal Slug, World Heroes, Last Blade, you name it. I have fond memories of these games and really thougth SNK was a great company…but I must say one other thing…damn are they hard! I played some Fatal Fury 2 last night, and damn, those early NeGeo fighters were punishing. The most punishing one I can remember is still Art of Fighting 2. That game was just masochistic.
SNK was notorious for their cheap bosses, too. I remember wanting to throw my controller many times while fighting many of the last bosses in King of Fighters games, Samurai Shodown, and Mr Karate in Art of Fighting.
The question then, is, which NeoGeo fighter frustrated you the most?
