Yes, you heard right, in an announcement that shocked the gaming world, Capcom and Midway are teaming up to make Street Fighter Vs Mortal Kombat Super Bloodthirst Turbo Alpha Edition HD! Ed Boon, co-creator of the Mortal Kombat series, had this to say:
Ed Boon: “People have been debating for over 10 years on which was better, Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat? Now the wait will be over! I think that with recently announced Street Fighter 4, Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, and the crittical acclaim of the Mortal Kombat series,the timing for this is perfect.”
In honoring tradition, the game will be kept in 2D. The game is slated for the XBox 360, Playstation 3 both as disc and downloadable content. No word yet on gameplay mechanics or character roster. The first screenshot is shown below, which confirms the inclusion of fatalities, and Raiden and Ken. More details, koming soon!

I love this concept. Yet another Street Fighter vs. Masterpiece. I hope this becomes so successful that they release a turbo edition, alpha editions, and championship editions. Here’s to a Blanka vs. Baraka matchup!
