Just minutes ago, Gamespot’s Ryan McDonald interviewed Don King via phone on their live show, On The Spot, in quite possibly the most hilarious game interview ever! He called in to talk about his new game being produced by 2K, Don King Presents: Prize Fighter…well, somewhere in his rambling he did.
Among many things said, he stated that the game was educational as well as entertaining, stating that it teaches you to rise above tough times and become a champ…or at least he said something like that (it’s hard to keep up with his ramblings). He also gave props to a game called “Grand Auto Theft”, saying it will sell many copies. Yes, that’s right, “Grand Auto Theft”. He is also promoting his game on DonKingTV.com and “MyFaceSpace”. Of course, it wouldn’t be a Don King interview without some new words for Webster’s Dictionary. His wordsmithing made up such words as “prolifericate”, and others. During the interview, he also made mention of India having “so many people”…why he mentioned that is beyond me…but hey, it kept me entertained.
The look on Ryan’s face during the interview was priceless, too. He just kept smiling and impatiently waiting for the interview to end. Mind you, he was a good sport, but his reactions made the other half of the one sided interview. A member of the Gamespot crew even walked by with a “Best Interview Ever” sign during the 20 minutes or so they had him on the phone. The man just kept on talking. It was definitely something for the gaming history books. I don’t doubt this will be on YouTube soon, and when it is, you can be sure that I will post it.
