While browsing through the XBox Live Marketplace I came upon some new downloads for Ninja Gaiden 2. As to be expected, I found a new trailer for the game (which looks friggin’ awesome, by the way). What wasn’t expected was the promotional videos done by none other than AskANinja.com. If you haven’t been to that site before, and you have even the slightest interest in ninjas, do yourself a favor and check it out for some comedy gold. There will be a total of 7 videos done by the ninja exclusive to Live.
This marks the first time I can think of where an internet celebrity-like figure appeared to promote a videogame. It makes sense with the target audience, though, and when I think about it, I’m surprised it hasn’t been done more often. Perhaps a new trend will start…
