So amongst many media complaints against GTA IV is the fact that you can drink and drive. Never mind the fact that the game actually encourages you to take a taxi home the lone time in the game that requires you to be drunk, silly things like facts and the truth can’t stand in the way of conservative outrage. Or that it’s pretty damn hard to drive in the game while drunk. But one of the editors at Kotaku made a video examining the difference between getting drunk in the game and driving and getting drunk in real life and driving in the game. It’s pretty dang funny too. Go watch! Then come back. Cuz we want more traffic.

Yes, the media forget to mention that it is very much your choice to drink and drive in the game, and that it comes with heavy consequences. I’ve done it once, and it isn’t pretty. Better to hail a cab or walk it off…if you can walk straight, that is. I will be sure to check out the video later tonight. Kotaku is good for the hilarity.
