All the web is buzzing with news of Nintendo’s new handheld, the DSi. We all expected to see a new handheld from them, especially given the rumors afloat, but what exactly is it? The DSi is pretty much a DS with increased functionality. It includes 2 cameras (one inside, one outside), a music player, SD slot, slightly larger display, and revised dashboard. The battery life is less than the DS Lite given the new features. Check out Kotaku for a full comparison of the DS Lite and DSi.

so its like a psp?
Minus Skype, an online store, UMD movies, and built in web browser (not the Opera cart one for DS), then um..yeah…although PSP doesn’t have a camera. A bit excessive for a handheld? possibly. Do we need another DS? Probably not. Will people buy it? Definitely.
